Job Title: Supply Analyst
Location: Fountain Valley, CA (100% Onsite)
Duration: 2-3 Months (Approx. until 4/2026)
Pay: $25-$28/hr. DOE
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00

Job Summary
The Supply Analyst plays a key role in managing supply performance and ensuring product availability for both overseas and domestic-sourced parts. This role involves forecasting, ordering, expediting, and communicating with suppliers to maintain optimal fill rates, purchasing targets, inventory levels (MOS), and backorder performance. The work directly influences the company's operational costs and revenue, contributing to the company's overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecasting & Ordering (30%)
  • Manage assigned part numbers by preparing forecasts and issuing purchase orders to achieve inventory and fill-rate targets.
  • Expediting & Backorder Management (25%)
  • Review daily dealer backorder reports and take prompt action to resolve shortages. Coordinate urgent shipments (VOR/XVOR) and minimize risks such as buy-backs.
  • New Model Preparation (20%)
  • Place and manage initial orders for new model parts to ensure availability at vehicle launch and maintain adequate pipeline inventory for the first 12-18 months.
  • Training & Support (15%)
  • Provide guidance and assistance to Parts Supply Analysts to help meet departmental goals.
  • Data & System Maintenance (10%)
  • Perform ongoing updates to part master records, purchase order data, and related system information.

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain assigned parts at optimal supply levels, ensuring strong customer service and inventory performance.
  • Prepare weekly air/sea POs, urgent air orders, new model orders, and special requests.
  • Monitor dealer backorders and communicate with suppliers to improve delivery timelines.
  • Reconcile PO discrepancies and maintain accurate supplier records.
  • Recommend updates to supersession logic, part control codes, and planning parameters within the Part Master.
  • Contribute to system improvement initiatives, including testing and implementing enhancements.
  • Support special projects, data analysis, and ad-hoc reporting as needed.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in quantitative analysis, business strategy, financial concepts, or related fields
  • Inventory planning experience required
  • Automotive background preferred but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with database systems and ad-hoc reporting tools

Skills

  • Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable
  • Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint; experience with Access or SQL preferred

Certifications

  • APICS or similar supply chain certifications are a plus
